Shorthill has long existed as a quiet town in the northwest reaches of Ardoc in a small valley of the Applewood hills. Shielded by many of the other communities farther south and the great oceans to the north and west, little has changed in this rural corner of the world even as the cold of the Long Winter reached its zenith.

Holidays are a time to recharge with a book and reconnect with good food and games.  This simple adventure combines both only leaving out the food (although a warm mulled cider might be a perfect accompaniment.) Inspired by one of the first books I learned to read, oh so many years ago, and the Christmas gift of a D&D red box some years later.  Enjoy!
